When young warrior Arnald Oberlin and elven sheriff Kysha Naberyn arrive in Wyvernmont to lay their commander to rest, whispers of a grim discovery stir the town. Two boys, slain under mysterious circumstances. An expedition into the wilds. An ancient ruin steeped in silence and shadow.

What they uncover there will awaken a hunger long buried—the Upyr, a blood-thirsty scourge capable of turning friend into foe and the innocent into monsters. As the siege of Wyvernmont begins, Arnald and Kysha must unite trolls, fae, and townsfolk in a desperate stand. But even if they survive the night, the true heart of the darkness still waits in the depths.
