Even though my latest book, I Am Calm Voice, has only been available for a couple of weeks, it seems to be receiving some good reviews. Most of these have been word of mouth, but a couple have appeared on Amazon.
I'm quite pleased with the responses thus far. The reviewers seem to have enjoyed the book, which is an encouragement to press on with my next project.
Someone did ask if I had plans to put the Amazon reviews on my site. I've decided not to.
The first reason is because I have a link to I Am Calm Voice on Amazon on my dedicated I Am Calm Voice page on my website and people are quite welcome to read the reviews there if they wish.
The second reason is because I posted some reviews from Readers' Favorite on my site, which are very favourable towards the book.
I feel that by overindulging in positive reviews might result in turning potential readers away. 
I don't know about you, but every time I see an advertisement on TV or an info-mercial (man, I hate those things so much, I really want to know about the product, not see endless reviews (don't take our word for it).
In saying that, I do like getting reviews.
Reviews allow me to get feedback from readers. They allow me to adjust my plans for future projects as I take criticisms and positive observations on board. They help shape me as a writer.
My advice to any reader out there is to take time to review a book you have read. Don't simply agree with every other reviewer. Tell people what you got out of reading someone else's work. Recommend it, or tell people to forget it if you thought it was garbage.
In any case, your thoughts are valuable.
